Sick Leave Hours. Sick leave hours earned and unused at the time of layoff shall be restored upon reemployment.
Sick Leave Hours. An employee may donate a portion of his or her accrued sick leave to 4 another leave eligible employee provided the donating employee’s sick leave balance will be 100 5 hours or more following the donation. The donation will occur following written approval from both 6 the donating and receiving employee’s directors. Sick Leave Hours. Paid sick leave is a benefit provided by the City for the use by the employee during a period of illness, sickness or medical treatment of the employee that prevent the employees from performing their assigned duties and for purposes identified in this section dealing with sick leave. It is the responsibility of supervisors and management personnel to verify that sick leave is appropriately utilized. Failure of the employee to cooperate completely in any investigation initiated by management regarding sick leave requested by the employee shall result in the denial of paid leave and possible disciplinary action. Abuse of this benefit will result in disciplinary action including possible dismissal.
Sick Leave Hours. Any employee may donate a portion of his or her accrued sick leave to a full-time or part-time employee of the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office who has completed at least six (6) months of service, upon written request to and approval of the donating and receiving employees' Division Chief and the Human Resources Office. Sick leave hour donations are strictly voluntary. Employees are prohibited from offering or receiving monetary or any other compensation in exchange for donating sick leave hours. No donation shall be permitted unless the donating employee’s sick leave accrual balance immediately subsequent to the donation is one hundred (100) hours or more. No employee may donate more than twenty-five (25) of his or her sick leave hours in a calendar year. Sick leave hours shall be donated in five (5) hour increments. Donated sick leave hours must be used within ninety (90) calendar days. Donated sick leave hours are exempt from sick leave payoff provisions, and sick leave restoration provisions contained in K.C.C. 3.12.220 and the relevant provisions of this Agreement. For purposes of this section, the first hours used by the receiving employee shall be accrued sick leave hours. Donated hours not used within ninety (90) days shall revert back to the donor.
