Sick Leave Exchange. Any permanent employee may exchange accrued sick leave for pay or for additional leave time as appropriate, in accordance with the options provided the employee, subject to the following provisions:
Sick Leave Exchange. In addition to the five days of personal leave, a teacher who ends the previous school year with at least 149 days (1043 hours) of avail- able sick leave may, upon written request to the District, exchange a maximum of six days of that year’s sick leave grant for one additional day of personal leave. After this exchange, one additional personal leave day may be granted for the ex- change of one sick leave day which increases the aggregate total of available per- xxxxx leave days to seven in any school year.
Sick Leave Exchange. The Board of Education has established a leave sharing program for all certified teachers. The program shall permit district employees to donate or receive sick leave. Sick leave may be donated to and/or received by employees within Muskogee Public Schools. The recipient must be pregnant or recovering from, or who is suffering from an extraordinary or severe illness, injury, impairment, or physical or mental condition that has caused or is likely to cause the employee to take leave without pay or to terminate employment. Guidelines for Sick Leave Sharing are:
Sick Leave Exchange. All employees eligible for a normal retirement on or before December 31, 2010 shall have the following sick leave exchange and service time purchase opportunity:
Sick Leave Exchange. All employees who are covered by this Agreement and maintain a sick leave "bank" of nine hundred and sixty (960) hours are eligible to cash in two (2) days of sick leave for one (1) day of personal leave, for a maximum of three (3) personal days. For employees who maintain a sick leave "bank" of six hundred and forty (640) hours sick leave to cash in three (3) days of sick leave for one (1) day of personal leave, for a maximum of three (3) personal days.
Sick Leave Exchange. Employees may exchange sick leave for personal leave at a 2:1 ratio. This option may only be used twice a year per employee. All exchanges must be approved by a supervisor prior to the use of the requested leave and cannot exceed two personal days per year. Employee may exchange sick leave which does not cause the employee's accumulated sick leave balance to fall below the yearly amount afforded to them per the negotiated agreements. Sick Leave Exchange. (A) Any unused sick leave accrued by employees hired prior to January 1, 1993 in excess of ninety (90) days may be exchanged by Bargaining Unit Members one (1) time per year at the ratio of two (2) unused sick leave days for one (1) additional day of paid vacation, not to exceed a maximum of ten (10) days of sick leave exchanged for five (5) additional days of vacation in any one calendar year.
Sick Leave Exchange. Effective July 1, 20 00 , after accumulating 32 days of sick leave, employees may exchange sick leave days for vacation days at a rate of two sick leave days for one vacation day . Each vacation day so earned must be used as a vacation day within the year of the exchange . Sick Leave Exchange. For employees who retire on or after the date of the Award, the existing formula for payment of accumulated sick leave at retirement shall be amended so that employees shall be compensated at 50% of their accumulated sick leave at retirement, except that employees who have accumulated 2,500 hours or more of sick leave at retirement shall instead be compensated at 60% of all such time.
Sick Leave Exchange. An employee whose retirement becomes effective on or after July 1, 1993 shall exchange, upon retirement and prior to any formula reduction, a portion of the employee’s accumulated sick leave for up to four (4) years (in whole years only) of additional pension service time for the purpose of computing the amount of the employee’s retirement allowance provided, however, such additional service time shall not be used for establishing eligibility for normal retirement benefits under Section D of this Appendix, but shall be used as additional service credits for employees who are qualified or become qualified for normal or disability retirement benefits. Each additional year of pension service acquired pursuant to this Section shall be equal to two and one-half percent (2.5%) of final average pay/annual pay. For the purpose of exchange by forty-two (42) hour per week employees under this Section, twenty (20) shifts (one hundred twenty (120) hours) shall equal one
