Sick Leave Conversion, Scheduling. Employees may convert three (3) days of sick leave for one bonus vacation day, provided that only sick leave over 960 hours may be converted to bonus vacation days, that no more than five (5) days of bonus vacation may be obtained in any one calendar year, and that bonus vacation shall be scheduled the same as other vacation. Granting of bonus vacation shall be at the sole discretion of the Employer so as to maintain proper staffing. In no case may the sick leave balance, after said conversion from sick leave to vacation be less than nine hundred sixty (960) hours. For purposes of this section, a “day” shall be equal to the number of hours the employee is normally scheduled to work and shall be converted on this basis.

  • Vacation Scheduling (a) With the exception of authorized vacation carryover under Clause 18.6, the scheduling and completion of vacations shall be on a calendar-year basis.

  • Vacation Schedule 1. Vacation periods shall be fixed by the Employer to suit the requirements of his business, but as far as possible and practicable, vacations will be given during the summer months, and for employees with school-age children, during the school vacations. Provided that the Company will not unreasonably withhold agreement to such grouping as the local Business Agent advocates. It shall not be unreasonable for the Company to withhold agreement if the proposed grouping can reasonably be expected to materially affect the operation or any portion thereof.

  • Sick Leave Buy Back To encourage and reward employees who maintain good job attendance, the parties agree to the following incentive award: Employees who utilize two (2) sick leave days or less each assigned school calendar year and year-round employees who utilize three (3) sick leave days or less during each assigned school calendar year - upon request – shall receive payment for up to eight (8) days of sick leave, provided the employee worked the full assigned calendar year.* The following procedures apply to the payment of sick leave under this section.
