Sick Leave Committee. The Union agrees to appoint representation on a review committee that may be established by the Employer to address sick leave.
Sick Leave Committee. The parties agree to form a committee to analyse the use and implementation of sick leave. The committee shall include 4 representatives from the Board and 4 representatives from the Association and Association Local 38. The intent of the committee will be to review strategies to manage illnesses. Such committee shall meet at least four times a year.
Sick Leave Committee. On each campus, the Administration and the Union shall each provide two members of a Sick Leave Committee, which shall be responsible for administering sick leave policy as described in this section and for managing the campus Sick Leave Bank. The Committee’s decisions are final and shall not be subject to grievance.
Sick Leave Committee. The State and the Union agree to establish a committee to study the feasibility of alternatives and options to the existing sick leave benefit structure. The committee shall consist of up to three members appointed by the State and three members appointed by the Coalition. The committee will meet on a bi-monthly basis. The committee will discuss alternatives to the existing sick leave policies and structure and alternatives such as group short term disability insurance.
Sick Leave Committee. The governing committee of the sick leave bank shall consist of three teachers appointed by the teachers association and two administrators appointed by the superintendent. The decision of the committee could be to grant the whole request or to grant any part of a request. The total days granted shall not exceed the number of days accumulated in the bank. The decision of the committee may be appealed to the Board.
Sick Leave Committee. The Sick Leave Committee shall consist of two (2) members of the SEIU, Local 1021 unit and two (2) members of the Administration. Unit members will be selected by the SEIU in a manner prescribed by the Executive Board. The administration members shall be appointed by the Superintendent. The Sick Leave Committee shall meet as necessary to administer the Sick Leave Bank. The employer shall maintain the records of transfers into and out of the Sick Leave Bank. The Sick Leave Committee shall be the decision making body to distribute sick leave credits from the Sick Leave Bank upon an application by the unit member for a member of the applicant's family. Any Workers Compensation injury/illness claim covered by an award shall be excluded. No sick leave fund days shall be granted after Long Term Disability begins.
Sick Leave Committee. The Sick Leave Committee shall consist of the Superintendent, one Board Member, one Elementary Teacher and one Secondary Teacher. The Sick Leave Committee shall supervise the use of the Bank, review all applications, accept or reject all applications, maintain proper balance, and provide reasonable assurance that the Sick Leave Bank is not abused.
Sick Leave Committee. A committee consisting of two members selected by the Association and two members of the Administration will act as the governing body of the administration of the Sick Leave Bank.

The Committee’s decisions are final and shall not be subject to grievance. Accrual of Sick Leave. Full-time librarians shall accrue 4.53 hours of sick leave each two-week payroll period, not to exceed fifteen days per year. Full-time faculty members on calendar-year appointments shall accrue 4.61 hours of sick leave each two-week payroll period, not to exceed fifteen days per year. Full-time faculty members on academic year appointments shall accrue 3.07 hours of sick leave each two-week payroll period, not to exceed ten days per year. For part-time bargaining- unit members with appointments of 50% time or more, this accrual shall be pro-rated based on percentage and length of appointment. Bargaining-unit members with appointments of less than 50% time are not eligible for sick leave. No sick leave shall be accrued while a bargaining-unit member is on leave without pay. Any unused sick leave shall be forfeited at the time of a bargaining-unit member’s separation from the University as a result of resignation, termination, retirement, or any other cause.
Sick Leave Committee. The committee will be composed of one elementary teacher, one middle school teacher, one high school teacher, the superintendent, and one classified employee (bus driver, cook, custodian, administrative assistant, or paraprofessional). The secondary teachers will select their representative, the middle school teachers will select their representative, the elementary teachers will select their representative and the classified staff will select their representative. Meetings of the committee will be called by the superintendent as needed.
