Common use of Sick Leave Account Clause in Contracts

Sick Leave Account. (a) At the first of September of each year, a full-time employee’s sick leave account shall be credited with one and one/half (1.5) days of sick leave allowance for each month of employment anticipated for the next year. A pro-rated credit is made for a part-time employee. A newly hired employee receives a credit for the balance of the year upon commencement of duties. At the end of each year’s employment, the amount of sick leave credit remaining in an employee’s account shall be carried forward up to a maximum of two hundred (200) days.

(a) 29.02.01 At the first beginning of September the working year there shall be placed in the sick leave account of each year, member who is employed on a full-time employee’s sick leave account shall be credited with one and one/half (1.5) days of sick leave allowance for each month of employment anticipated for the next year. A newly hired or part time permanent employee receives a prorated credit for the balance of the year based upon hours worked in the year at the commencement of their duties. At the end of each year’s 's employment, the amount of sick leave credit remaining in an employee’s 's account shall be carried forward up to a maximum of two hundred and forty (200240) daysdays with any above this amount being kept on record and this credit can be available in special cases of prolonged illness at the discretion of the Board.
