Sick Leave Abuse. a. Where the EMPLOYER has reasonable grounds to question whether an employee is properly using sick leave (for example, when sick leave is used in unusual patterns or circumstances), the EMPLOYER will inquire further into the matter and ask the employee to explain.

Sick Leave Abuse. a. A. Where the EMPLOYER Employer has reasonable grounds to question whether an employee is properly using sick leave (for example, when sick leave is used in unusual patterns or circumstances), the EMPLOYER Employer will inquire further into the matter and ask require an explanation of sick leave usage. Without an acceptable explanation, the employee will be orally advised that use of sick leave in unusual patterns or circumstances, may result in a written requirement to explainfurnish acceptable documentation for each subsequent absence due to illness or incapacitation for duty, regardless of duration.
