Sick Leave. The employee is eligible for long term disability benefits if provided for in the Collective Agreement. An employee will not receive pay for the first two (2) weeks of any period of absence due to a legitimate illness. The employee may utilize the paid holiday bank as income replacement for absences due to illness, as described in Article (c) above. An employee who is eligible may apply for Employment Insurance for weeks three (3) through seventeen (17) for any absence due to a legitimate illness. The Home will provide the employee with Disability Income Protection as per Article 14.01 (c) for weeks eighteen (18) through thirty (30) for any absence due to a legitimate illness. Employees may be required to provide medical proof of illness for any absence of a scheduled shift, which is neither vacation nor an approved leave of absence.
Sick Leave. Section One. Each employee shall accrue sick leave at the rate of one and one-quarter (1-1/4) days or the equivalent per completed calendar month of continuous full-time service, including authorized leave with pay, provided that:

The parties agree that any current collective agreement provisions and/or Board policies/practices/procedures related to Sick Leave that do not conflict with the clauses in the Sick Leave article in the Central Agreement shall remain as per August 31, 2014. Sick Leave. FOR REGULAR FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES Regular full-time employees accrue eight (8) hours of sick leave for each month worked. Sick leave accumulation is limited to a maximum of 880 hours (110 days.) Earned sick leave permits continuation of full pay during absence due to: 1 Disability caused by illness or injury of the employee including disability caused or contributed to by pregnancy, miscarriage, abortion, childbirth or leave needed for adoption;
Sick Leave. 22:01 Sick leave means the period of time an employee is absent from work with pay by virtue of being sick or disabled or because of an accident for which compensation is not payable under the Workers’ Compensation Act.
Sick Leave. (1) An employee on maternity leave or parental leave shall not be entitled to sick leave during the period of leave.
Sick Leave. An employee must report the intention to be absent from duty to the designated Employer representative by at least one hour before the employee’s regular starting time, but in no case later than 7:00 a.m. on the day of absence. If possible, notification should be given on the previous day or earlier. If an employee expects to return to an assignment, the employee must notify the immediate supervisor of such intention no later than 45 minutes prior to normal student dismissal time on the previous day. If the employee does not give the required notification of intent to return, and the substitute subsequently reports for duty the following morning, the substitute will be paid for an additional half day, and the pay for this will be deducted from the employee’s salary. Regular full time employees shall be allowed sick leave of 15 working days during their first year of employment and 15 working days each year thereafter without loss of pay. If an employee does not need to use the allotted days during the contract year, the unused days will be added to the allowance for the succeeding year. There is no limit on the total number of days that may be accumulated. In case of absences for illness or injury in any one year exceeding the aggregate of days allotted for that year, the excess shall be deducted from the employee’s accumulated days. At the end of the year, any of the accumulated days which are unused shall be added to the regular allowance for the succeeding year. If an employee is unable to begin service under the contract on the date on which the contract is designated to begin, the employee shall nevertheless be entitled to draw compensation for any unused medically related disability leave accumulated from prior years of service with the district, pursuant to its regulations thereto, payable at the time regular installments are due under this contract, notwithstanding the fact that actual service did not commence under this contract for the school year covered therein. If an employee is unable to report for duty on the first day of the new contract, and had no accumulated sick leave on which to draw, compensation for sick leave will not be allowed under the new contract until the employee does report, whereupon it will become retroactive. Sick Leave. 8.2 Sick leave is earned by regular and trial employees at the rate of 0.0462 hours per straight- time compensable hour for each month of completed service. An employee may not accumulate more than 1,920 hours of sick leave. To receive sick leave, an employee must either be sick or disabled or have a scheduled health care appointment. Upon request by the Department Head, an employee must be able to furnish proof, including documentation from the attending health care provider. Falsification or misuse of sick leave may be considered cause for discipline.
Sick Leave. 13.1 Regular full-time employees or regular part-time employees working half-time or more are entitled to sick leave earned at the rate of one (1) day per month or 3.69 hours per pay period. Regular full-time employees who work less than their regular schedule due to leave without pay and regular part-time employees working half-time or more, are entitled to sick leave in the same proportion as their hours actually worked bears to the regular full-time schedule. Sick leave shall be cumulative.
