Short and Long Term Disability Sample Clauses
The Short and Long Term Disability clause outlines the benefits and protections provided to employees who are unable to work due to illness or injury, distinguishing between temporary and extended periods of disability. Typically, short-term disability covers a portion of an employee’s salary for a limited duration, such as several weeks or months, while long-term disability provides continued income replacement if the disability persists beyond the short-term period. This clause ensures that employees have financial support during periods when they are medically unable to perform their job duties, thereby offering security and mitigating the financial impact of unexpected health issues.
