Short and Long Term Disability. 9.6.1 A regular employee or a term employee who is employed for four (4) months or more who has been in receipt of sick leave for thirty (30) calendar days shall be eligible to receive short-term disability (STD) benefits which will pay at seventy percent (70%) weekly indemnity for a period of up to twenty-one (21) weeks.

Short and Long Term Disability. Effective as of the Closing Date, Buyer shall have in effect short- and long-term disability plans for the benefit of Continued Employees, the cost of which to Continued Employees shall be the same as under, and the terms of which are identical in all material respects to, Seller's applicable plans as in effect as of the Closing Date. Short and Long Term Disability. All employees will be provided Long Term Disability coverage which provides sixty-six and two-thirds percent (66 2/3rd%) of an employee’s wages, up to a maximum cap of $3000 per month, whichever is the lessor amount, minus policy deductions. The Employer shall maintain a Short Term Disability Insurance program for members of the bargaining unit. Qualification for receiving these benefits are set forth in the terms of the Short Term and Long Term Disability Insurance programs as determined by the insurance carrier.
Short and Long Term Disability. (a) The Township shall provide bargaining unit members with a short-term disability benefit which shall provide sixty-six and two-thirds (66-2/3%) percent of salary. The short-term disability waiting period shall be seven (7) calendar day, except when an employee is hospitalized or when the employee is disabled from work due to outpatient surgery. Short-term disability shall continue until one-hundred eighty (180) calendar days from date or injury or illness. The Township agrees to maintain and provide at no cost to the employee hospital, medical, life, dental, and optical insurance at the same benefit level being provided to the collective bargaining group. This coverage shall be maintained during the waiting period as well as through the short-term disability benefit period. The Township shall also provide long-term disability benefits which shall provide sixty percent (60%) of an employee’s base salary after a waiting period of one-hundred and eighty (180) calendar days, in accord with the benefits of the Insurance Policy and Summary Plan Description in the Human Resources Department, except as modified by this collective bargaining agreement. The benefits of the above plan shall not be diminished without the mutual agreement of both parties. A copy of the long term benefits policy shall be given to the Union and is available for examination in the Human Resources Department.
