Common use of SHOP COMMITTEE Clause in Contracts

SHOP COMMITTEE. (a) For the purpose of this Agreement when the term "Shop Committee" is used, it shall mean Shop, Camp, Mill or Plant Committee, members of which are appointed by the Union. The Shop Committee shall consist of not less than three (3) employees and not more than seven (7) employees with completed probationary period of employment with the Company who are members of the Union and, wherever possible, they shall be selected on a departmental basis.
