Shift Vacancies. Vacancies in shifts occurring after the posting of work schedules that are known at least one (1) week in advance will be posted.
Shift Vacancies. Establishment of new shifts or vacancies on shifts for custodial/maintenance personnel shall be posted for ten (10) days prior to appointment, except in cases of emergency.

Shift Vacancies. When there is a vacancy on an existing shift, non-probationary officers may bid to fill the vacancy. The Chief of Police shall provide notification of such vacancy via an email to each officer’s College-provided email address, after which officers shall have the opportunity to bid on such vacancy for at least eight (8) calendar days. Assignment to the open vacancy will be made according to the shift bidding process as set forth above. Probationary Officers shall be assigned shifts in accordance with training and staffing needs. The shifts are not subject to vacancy bidding for probationary officers, nor will probationary officers be allowed to bid on any openings. Any temporary or short-term change shall not be considered a change of shift and will not be subject to seniority bidding.
Shift Vacancies. Full-time job vacancies occurring after January 1 of the current year shall be filled based on the shift bids previously submitted for the current year and in consideration of the business needs of Snohomish County 911. Probationary employees shall be placed on the shift determined by Snohomish County 911 management to be best suited to the training goals established for that employee. Only regular full-time employees shall participate in the shift bid process, when it occurs. When a full-time vacancy is filled, subsequent shift vacancies will be filled through the same process as outlined in this section.
Shift Vacancies. Shift vacancies occur when an employee is ill, on vacation, on remote training, or otherwise not available for their regular assigned work shift.
Shift Vacancies. Permanent Replacements A vacancy shall occur if a regular employee leaves a shift or core position, or if operations require additional shift or core coverage. A vacancy will not be filled if operations do not require the coverage. Such vacancies shall be posted according to Section Miscellaneous Items No machinists are provided off day shift; hence Millwrights are required to complete minor machining operations within their own capabilities (and subject to ensuring safety and safety of others) as required to keep production equipment running.
Shift Vacancies. Shifts that become vacant after the Schedule has been posted, but of which the Employer has notice at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance of the scheduled start time, will be distributed in the following manner:
Shift Vacancies. Shift vacancies that occur during the year will be posted within ten (10) work days of the vacancy. Employees will be given ten (10) work days to sign up for the vacancy. The position will be awarded to the senior employee signing for the vacant position and the shift change will take effect within sixty (60) work days or when staffing levels allow. If no employee signs up for the vacancy and the vacancy must be filled for staffing purposes, the least senior, qualified employee shall be assigned to the vacant position.
Shift Vacancies. Vacancies in the position of full-time bargaining unit members created as a result of death, resignation, retirement, promotion or discharge shall be filled within ninety (90) days of the vacancy if the District has a current hiring list in place or within 120 days of the vacancy if the District does not have a current hiring list in place. In the event the District is unable to complete the process of establishing a new hiring list to fill a vacancy within 120 days, the District will inform the Union of its progress and fill the vacancy upon establishment of the new hiring list. If, in its sole discretion, the District decides that it does not intend to fill a vacancy due to economic reasons, the District agrees to promptly notify the Union of its decision not to fill the vacancy.
