Shift Lengths. 6.1 Shift lengths will be determined by the Incident Controller and will commence and conclude at the nominated time and location (i.e. temporary workplace) as determined by the Incident Controller.
Shift Lengths. Shift lengths may consist of eight, nine, ten or twelve 28 hours. The Medical Center reserves the right to create positions consisting of eight, 29 nine, ten or twelve hours, which shall be subject to the established posting criteria set 30 forth in Article 13. Shift lengths of shorter duration may be established as defined in 31 Appendix F. 33 Quarterly position controls shall be provided the Association that include open 34 vacant and travel positions, FTE, shift and shift length.

Shift Lengths. The standard work day may consist of eight (8) or ten (10) hours, exclusive of meal periods. The Employer shall notify the Union at least 30 days in advance of changing the shift lengths within a department. Upon request, the Employer shall meet with the Union to bargain the impact of the change.
Shift Lengths. Shifts may consist of 8-hour, 9-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shift 16 lengths. The employer and a nurse may mutually agree, in writing, to a shift 17 length that is not considered to be the standard shift length on a unit. In the 18 event that the Employer contemplates movement to a new shift length for 19 several positions within a department or unit, mutual agreement with the 20 individual nurse shall not be required; absent such mutual agreement, 21 however, the Employer shall notify and meet with the Association, upon 22 request, to bargain regarding such contemplated action. Notice shall be 23 provided in writing in accordance with article 14.3. The notice shall specify 24 the number of positions affected and how they will be affected. The Employer 25 shall consider any alternatives the Association may present during 26 bargaining.
Shift Lengths. 60.1 A maximum of 12 hours per shift (exclusive of meal breaks) may be worked in a roster but a minimum of 8 clear hours free of rostered duty must be granted before recommencement of duty, unless agreed in accordance with clause 11 of this Agreement.
Shift Lengths. Longer or shorter shift lengths may be established by mutual agreement between the Hospital and the Nurse. The Hospital may continue any such changed shifts for a trial period of at least three (3) months, provided that any nurse, upon four (4) weeks’ written notice, may elect to rescind the changed shift lengths.

Ordinary hours may be worked in shifts of up to 12 hours without attracting overtime penalties subject to the following: • Where the ordinary working hours are to exceed 8 on any day, the arrangements of hours will be subject to the agreement of the Company and the majority (50% plus 1 employee) of employees concerned. • Where ordinary hours are to exceed 10 hours up to 12 hours, this will be subject to the agreement of the Company and at least 66% of the employees within the area concerned and meeting the following criteria: − Occupational health and safety issues and − Suitable rostering arrangements being made.
Shift Lengths. 35.1 Employees covered by this Agreement may be required to perform shifts which have irregular starting times and varying lengths.
