Common use of Shift Exchange Clause in Contracts

Shift Exchange. Employees may exchange work shifts within the same department or work unit with the approval of management personnel in charge of the shifts affected. The change must not interfere with the normal operation of the department and must not create overtime.

Shift Exchange. Employees may exchange work shifts within with another employee, who is deemed by the same department or work unit with Employer to be qualified, trained, oriented and conducive to the approval operation and supports involved. Until an exchange has been arranged and approved by the Supervisor, the employee shall remain responsible for the shift(s). Upon Employer approval, the employee(s) accepting the Exchanged Shift(s) is responsible for the shift(s). Exchange of management personnel shifts shall not result in charge of the shifts affected. The change must not interfere with the normal operation of the department and must not create overtimeovertime payment for either employee.
