Shift Differential Pay. A. An employee shall receive additional compensation at the rate of seventy five cents (75¢) per hour for all hours worked on a shift when the majority of hours worked on the shift are between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. and in locations where these classes are regularly assigned shift work.

Shift Differential Pay. Employees in the classifications listed in Appendices B and F are eligible for differential pay when working during the following hours:
Shift Differential Pay. SECTION 1: In addition to the compensation provided by the wage schedule, employees working between the hours of 3:00 P.M. and 7:00 A.M. shall be paid a shift differential premium of fifty (.50) cents per hour in addition to the regular pay for those hours.
Shift Differential Pay. A $2.50 per hour payment shall be paid to any employee assigned regularly established shift differential assignments. For purposes of this Section, shift differential hours are 5:00 P.M. to 8:30 A.M. and all day Saturday and Sunday. Shift Differential Pay a. A three percent (3%) shift differential shall be paid for all employees in the represented bargaining group who are regularly scheduled to work fifty percent (50%) or more of their shift between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.

This compensation is pensionable when regularly assigned and non-pensionable when assigned on a daily basis.

Shift Differential Pay. A. Shift differential pay shall be paid for any workday in which one-half (½) or more of the normal scheduled hours worked occur after 2:00 p.m. and prior to 6:00 a.m., excluding hours in paid status while on approved vacation, sick leave, compensatory time, and off-duty court time hours. Shift differential pay shall be paid for injury leave for scheduled premium hours only.

Night shift is defined as one which begins at 6:00 PM or later. In order to be eligible for the shift differential, the following conditions must be met:

This pay shall be an addition to the employee’s hourly base pay for the affected shift schedule. Overtime pay, holiday pay, standby pay, etc. would reflect this shift differential for affected pay periods. Payoffs and buy-backs of accumulated holiday pay, annual leave, ATO, sick leave, etc. would not include shift differential, even if paid while the employee is working a shift eligible for shift differential. This provision does not apply to custodial employees as they are assigned shift work as a condition of hire and are compensated for that work in their base pay.
