Common use of Shift Change Clause in Contracts

Shift Change. An employee should be given as much prior notice as possible before changing their shift hours of work. The minimum time of such notice must be twelve (12) hours and there must be a minimum time spread of twelve (12) hours between scheduled hours. Failure to provide twelve (12) hours notice and/or twelve (12) hours minimum time spread between shifts will require the Corporation to pay the appropriate overtime premium for that shift.
