Common use of Shift and Weekend Premium Clause in Contracts

Shift and Weekend Premium. (a) An employee shall be paid a shift premium of eighty-five cents ($.85) per hour for each hour worked outside the normal hours of the day shift provided that such hours exceed two (2) hours if worked in conjunction with the day shift. Tour differential will not form part of the employee’s straight time hourly rate.
