Settling of Grievances. Should any question arise concerning the application, administration, interpretation, or an alleged violation of the provisions of this Agreement, between the Employer and the employee or group of employees and where the employee has the written consent of the Regional Vice President or the Union the following procedure shall apply: STEP ONE:
Settling of Grievances. An xxxxxxx effort shall be made to process and settle grievances fairly and promptly in the following manner: Complaint Stage It is agreed that an Employee has no grievance until he/she has first given his/her immediate Supervisor an opportunity to adjust his/her complaint within fourteen (14) calendar days of its occurrence or when they ought to have become aware of it. The Employee may request to meet with their Supervisor and is permitted to have a co-worker from their department present at the meeting. Prior approval is required to attend the meeting. The Employee has the option of making a written submission as an alternative to the meeting. The Employer will provide a written response to the complaint and if no satisfactory answer is received within seven (7) calendar days from the time it was first discussed with the Employee’s immediate Supervisor, the Employee may proceed to Step 1 of the grievance procedure.

Failing any written reply or satisfactory settlement within ten (10) working days, the employee may proceed to Step Two. STEP TWO Within ten (10) working days from the expiration of the ten (10)-day period referred to in Step One, the employee, accompanied by the grievance committee and a representative of the Union if so desired, may take the matter up with the Superintendent. The form completed on Step One must be presented. The Superintendent shall reply in writing on such form within ten (10) working days from the presentation of the grievance under Step Two. Failing any written reply or satisfactory settlement within such ten (10)- day period, the matter may be referred to adjudication as provided in Article 8 (Adjudication) hereof within twenty (20) working days from the expiration of such ten (10)-day period.

Settling of Grievances. In an effort to ensure that grievances are dealt with fairly and promptly, the following steps shall outline proper grievance procedure: Step I If the Union Representative, Grievance Committee or designate considers the grievance to be justified, they will first seek to settle the dispute with the employee’s supervisor within seven (7) days.
Settling of Grievances. If an Employee has a complaint relating to the application, interpretation, administration or alleged violation of this Collective Agreement an xxxxxxx effort shall be made to settle grievances fairly and promptly in the following manner: Step No. 1 The Employee shall first discuss the complaint with the immediate Supervisor or designate who shall respond to the complaint to the grievor and Xxxxxxx (if one was present) within five (5) working days of the complaint being brought to their attention. Failing satisfactory settlement this process shall be documented on the reverse side of the grievance; and, Step No. 2 The Employee shall submit a written grievance signed by him/her to his/her Operations Manager, if the same person as in Step 1, omit this Step and submit to Step 3 (or in the absence of that person, his/her designated representative), with a copy to Human Resources or designate within ten (10) working days from receiving the answer in Step 1. The nature of the grievance, the remedy sought and the section(s) of the Agreement alleged to have been violated, shall be set out in the grievance form. The Operations Manager or his /her designated alternate will deliver his/her written response within five (5) working days after receiving the written grievance. Should the Operations Manager or his/her designate wish to discuss the grievance prior to issuing his/her written reply, he/she will arrange to meet the grievor and his/her Xxxxxxx at a time which is mutually agreeable to the parties concerned. Failing satisfactory settlement: Step No. 3 Within five (5) working days after the response is given under Step No. 2 the grievor shall submit the written grievance to the Director or his/her designate. The Director or his/her designate shall meet with the grievor and his/her xxxxxxx to review the grievance within five (5) working days following receipt of this grievance. The Director or his/her designate in consultation with the Executive Director will deliver his/her written response to the grievor with a copy to the Union within five (5) working days from the day on which the grievance meeting was convened. Step No. 4 The parties may agree that failing a resolution, the matter will be referred to a mutually agreed upon Grievance Mediation Officer. Step No. 5 Failing a satisfactory settlement being reached in Step 4, either party may refer the dispute to Arbitration.
Settling of Grievances. Should any difference arise between the persons bound by this Agreement concerning its interpretation, application, operation, or any alleged violation thereof, including any question governing the dismissal or suspension of any employee bound by the Agreement, and including any questions as to whether any matter is arbitrable, there shall be no stoppage of work on account of such difference and an xxxxxxx effort shall be made to settle the difference in the following manner:
