Servicing Grievances. It is understood that a Xxxxxxx has Employer work to perform. Accordingly, the Xxxxxxx shall normally service grievances outside of regular working hours. If it is necessary to service a grievance during working hours, he will not leave his work without first obtaining the permission of his immediate supervisor. Permission shall not be unreasonable withheld. In requesting such permission, the Xxxxxxx shall state his destination to his immediate supervisor and report again to him at the time of his return to work. In accordance with this understanding, if the Xxxxxxx deals with grievances during his regular hours of work he shall only be paid for a reasonable amount of time so spent. What is reasonable is to be determined by the immediate supervisor.

  • Union May Institute Grievances The Union and its representatives shall have the right to originate a grievance on behalf of an employee, or groups of employees.
