Service Seniority Defined. Service seniority for a regular employee shall be defined as service as a regular employee with the Employer plus all regular service seniority with the Public Service of BC and previous maintenance contractors in Contract Area 24. Service seniority for auxiliary employees shall be defined as the total number of straight-time hours worked with employer, plus all accumulated straight-time hours accrued with the Public Service of BC for those employees who transferred from the Public Service of BC, plus all accumulated straight-time hours accrued with previous maintenance contractors in Contract Area 24. When two (2) or more employees have equal seniority, the order of establishing their relative seniority shall be determined by chance as mutually agreed to between the employees and the Union. Should this not result in a break in the tie, the order of establishing their relative seniority shall be determined by the employees uninterrupted service start date with the Province of BC or the Employer, whichever the earlier. This clause will not apply to equal seniority situations that have been already resolved and recorded.
