SERVICE BENEFITS. Length of service is recognized through increasing benefit entitlements for certain benefit programs, discretionary reduction of probationary period for transferred or promoted employees, and in the review and scrutiny given to applications for promotion or transfer.

Employees who are eligible for the 403B Plan noted in 17.4, upon retirement, shall also be eligible for the service benefits noted in this §17.6, provided they provide the District with notice of their retirement on or before November 15 of the school year in which they will retire.

It will build upon the current joint equipment service to provide a seamless service across Health and Social Care and will set a benchmark for what can be achieved through integration of resources and finance. • It will provide the potential for a seven day service. • It will have a Joint Management Board to oversee the Operational Services. • It will have a single operational manager who will be accountable on a day to day basis for the running of the Service. • By integrating budgets, costs for ordering, storing, maintenance and delivery can be reduced with further cost savings being achieved by creating a robust recycling facility within the Service. • It will give Service Users a single point of contact and a facility to see for themselves the range of Community Equipment available. • Creating a 'core stock' of Community Equipment will ensure quick access to equipment needed at short notice, thereby facilitating more efficient hospital discharge. • Having a stock of Community Equipment for 'Continuing Care' will ensure quick access to items for those Service Users with more complex health needs. • The Service will have an up-to-date state of the art cleaning and sterilising unit to ensure all Community Equipment issued and re-issued meet current health and safety standards and decontamination requirements.
SERVICE BENEFITS. 20.01 All Permanent Employees within the Bargaining Unit hired before April 30th 2014 shall receive service pay, in accordance with their term of service, which service pay shall be payable with the last regular pay in November of each year during the term of this Collective Agreement, as follows:
