Serious Illness. In the event of a serious illness of a member of an Employee's immediate family, the Employee shall be granted a leave of absence for up to five (5) days in a seven day period The Employer will pay for those shifts that the employee is scheduled to work during the leave period. In the event of a serious illness of a member of an Employee's family, the Employee shall be granted a leave of absence for up to three (3) days in a five day period. The Employer will pay for those shifts that the employee is scheduled to work during the leave period
