Serious Illness in the Immediate Family. An allowance of up to three (3) days leave shall be granted. (Immediate family same as [1] above).
Serious Illness in the Immediate Family. Five (5) days without loss of pay shall be allowed each year as a family leave for serious illness in the immediate family which shall be defined as the buildings and grounds employee's spouse, parent, or dependent child as that term is defined by the Internal Revenue Service. This leave shall not be deducted from the accumulative personal sick leave record of the employee. When absence of more than two (2) days at one time is required under this regulation, a physician's certificate may be required.

Serious Illness in the Immediate Family a. In any one year an aggregate of five (5) sick family days shall be granted for a documented serious illness of father, mother, spouse, child, brother or sister.

Employees are to report the person(s) in the immediate family who is ailing to the Superintendent of Schools when calling in the information regarding the absence. Leave of absence with full pay shall be granted for serious illness of employee's immediate family living in the same household with the employee, and mother and father, whether or not they are living in the employee's household. The total allowance under this provision shall not exceed two (2) working days annually during the period of this Agreement.
