Common use of Seniority Unit Layoff List Clause in Contracts

Seniority Unit Layoff List. The name(s) of nurse(s) who has/have been laid off or demoted in lieu of layoff shall be placed on a seniority unit layoff list for the specific classification, option if any, seniority unit and employment condition from which the nurse was laid off. Such name(s) shall be placed on the list in order of classification seniority. The nurse's name shall remain on the layoff list for a minimum of one (1) year or for a period equal to the nurse's continuous employment in the class and department to a maximum of four (4) years.
