Seniority Tie. If two (2) or more employees have the same seniority date and it becomes necessary to resolve this tie, seniority priority shall be determined, first, by:
Seniority Tie. In situations where two (2) or more employees have the same seniority or two (2) or more probationary employees have the same service hours, the Union shall determine the seniority order by random draw. APPOINTMENTS AND STAFF CHANGES
Seniority Tie. Breakers As established above, seniority shall commence on the date an individual becomes employed or promoted as a regular full-time sworn Sergeant. Should more than one (1) individual be hired or promoted on the same day, seniority preference will be determined by the individual’s total Department seniority. An individual with greater Department seniority shall receive seniority preference over an individual with a lower Department seniority.
Seniority Tie. In the event two or more seniority dates are tied, the relative order of priority will be determined by the date an employee's application or transfer form was received for the position on which the employees' seniority is based. The employee with the earliest date of receipt on the application/transfer form will have first priority within the group. In the event one or more employees do not have a date stamped application/transfer form, the last four digits of the employees' social security number will be added up with the highest number receiving first priority and so on.
Seniority Tie. If the seniority date of two employees is equal, the seniority shall be determined by the alphabetical order of the employee’s surnames and given names at the time of employment.

Seniority Tie. In the event that two (2) or more employees have the same start date, determination of relative seniority, a method of chance will be used to break the tie.
Seniority Tie. 22 A drawing shall be done at the time of Board confirmation. The drawing to be done by a neutral party 23 with the District, the Union President, the people that have been hired, and the PSE Union 24 Representative. The Union Representative will do the drawing. 25 An asterisk (*) will go by the names of those that had to draw for seniority and the date that the 26 drawing took place. The process for selection of new or current employees before drawing is as 27 follows:
