Seniority Points for Reinstatements. In case of reinstatement of a City employee after leaving the City service, credit shall be given for past service insofar as promotions are concerned if the employee was on an approved leave of absence. The Director of Human Resources or designee shall certify candidates for consideration and shall provide the names of all certified candidates to the department head for interviews. After completing the interview process, the department head may select a candidate for the position. The register of certified candidates for the position shall remain in effect for a period of one year.
