Seniority and Transfers. (1) A teacher who is voluntarily transferred to a different category may, at the discretion of the Employer, have total seniority transferred to the different category. A teacher who is involuntarily transferred to a different category may elect to transfer total seniority to the different category.

Seniority and Transfers. An employee requesting a transfer into another Safeway retail bargaining unit represented by UFCW 401 Meat North and/or UFCW 401 Meat South shall do so in writing to the Human Resources Department with a copy to the Union. Should the request be denied, the employee shall receive notification in writing. When an employee requests a transfer into another Agreement area and the transfer is approved by the Employer, such employee shall be placed at the bottom of the seniority list in the area to which the employee has been transferred. When an employee is transferred into another Agreement area in Alberta from this Agreement area at the Employer’s request such employee’s seniority in the area to which they are transferred shall be transferred with them. An employee transferred from another province into this Agreement shall be placed on the bottom of the seniority list with the exception of Xxxxxx Creek, Cranbrook, and Fort St. Xxxx, British Columbia. In the cases above the employee will retain their original employment date and all earned benefits they have previously qualified for provided that not more than thirty
