Self Scheduling. The Home and the Union may agree to implement a self-scheduling process. Self-scheduling is the mechanism by which employees in a Home create their own work schedules. The purpose of self scheduling is to improve job satisfaction and quality of work life for the participating employees. Self scheduling requires a collaboration of employees and management to ensure proper coverage of the Home and to meet the provisions of the Collective Agreement. It is agreed that self scheduling will be negotiated locally by the Home and the Union and will include a trial period. Each Home must have the majority agreement of the full-time and part-time employees who vote on the issue to agree on a trial period of up to six months. Once the trial period is complete, each Home must have a minimum of 66⅔% agreement of the full-time and part-time employees who vote on the issue to continue with the new schedule on a permanent basis.
Self Scheduling. Owner is expected to offer each RMR Generator into the NYISO’s Energy and Ancillary Service markets using the ISO-committed flexible bid mode at its Reference Levels for economic scheduling. However, Owner may request permission to self-schedule an RMR Generator for operational and maintenance considerations, including required testing or for fuel management purposes. The ISO may accept or reject the requested self-schedule in its sole discretion. Variable Costs during ISO-approved self schedules will be the self-scheduled RMR Generator’s Reference Levels.
Self Scheduling. In accordance with Article 13.03 of the Collective Agreement, the Parties may wish to implement Self-Scheduling to achieve a scheduling practice that offers the benefit of Self-Scheduling to staff, in addition to satisfactory and efficient staffing coverage to the Hospital. The Parties agree to enter into a Self-Scheduling Program on the following conditions:
Self Scheduling. K.1 The introduction of self-scheduling in a Unit will be subject to mutual agreement by the Hospital and the Union.
Self Scheduling. (a) Where it is the intention of the parties hereto to self-schedule for full-time and/or part-time employees, the parties hereby agree to the following:
Self Scheduling. Where the parties agree to the use of self- scheduling for full-time and part-time nurses on a unit, the following will apply;
Self Scheduling. Where the parties agree to the use of self-scheduling for full-time and part-time employees, in the Home, the following will apply. Eighty percent (80%) of the full-time and regular part-time employees of the Home must indicate by secret ballot their willingness to participate prior to commencement of a trial of self-scheduling. The vote will be conducted by both the Union and the Employer. A trial of self-scheduling shall run for a six (6) month period after which full-time and regular part-time employees will indicate by an 80% vote, by secret ballot their willingness to continue using self-scheduling. When the Home adopts self-scheduling as a trial or on a permanent basis, all employees of the Home will be required to participate in self-scheduling. Employees participating in self-scheduling shall be responsible for scheduling their hours of work, including paid holidays and lieu days. The completed schedule shall be submitted to the Director of Care of the Home for review and approval, to ensure that appropriate coverage is maintained, at least two (2) weeks in advance of the required posting time. The Director of Care must approve the schedule and such approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. Self-scheduling, including all scheduling guidelines, shall comply with all the provisions of the Collective Agreement in all respects The parties will agree to all guidelines related to self-scheduling prior to the implementation of self-scheduling.
Self Scheduling. The Association and the Hospital agree in principle to the concept of self- scheduling. Self-scheduling is the collective responsibility of the nurses involved to ensure the proper coverage of the unit and to ensure that all provisions of the Collective Agreement are respected at all times. Should the Hospital or the nurses wish to implement self-scheduling on a particular unit, the nurses shall do so in writing to the Employer and the Association. The Employer shall do so in writing to the Association.
