Selection of Textbooks and Teaching Materials. 1. Textbooks and other teaching materials shall be selected by the faculty member involved in teaching a specific course. Teaching materials may include, but are not limited to, grading rubric, z-grade policy, ADA compliance, course objectives, course outlines, examinations and final projects. Department chairs, deans and vice presidents can periodically review and, when necessary, collect such teaching materials. Department chairs, deans and vice presidents shall not release any materials, with the exception of course outlines, course objectives, final exams and final projects, to another faculty member unless the faculty member whose materials were reviewed and collected consents to such release. Faculty textbook selections shall be made by April 1 for the Fall semester and by October 1 for the Spring semester. The College shall inform faculty members and Department Chairs of the availability of textbooks at least one week prior to the start of classes.
