SELECTION OF RUNS. SECTION 1 - Selection of runs shall be on the basis of seniority. If any operator fails to make his selection on his day to choose, the Operators below this person in seniority will be directed to make their choices. The Operator who fails to make his choice at the proper time will be allowed to choose from the remaining bids when he is ready to make his selection. Coach assignment language notwithstanding, the Company has the right to assign wheelchair equipped buses anywhere, at any time, throughout the system.
SELECTION OF RUNS. There shall be a general sign-up to take effect in January, May and September. The effective dates or frequency of the sign-ups may be changed by mutual consent of SunLine and the Union. The mechanism for conducting these sign-ups shall be agreed between the General Manager and the Union Representative. The effective dates shall be the first Sunday of the month and sign-ups shall be posted two (2) weeks prior to effective date. All sign-ups shall be completed no less than seven (7) calendar days prior to effective date.
SELECTION OF RUNS. SECTION 1 – There shall be a general “sign-up” to take effect on the first Sunday of January, the first Sunday of April, the Sunday following termination of the regular school term in June, and the first Sunday preceding the commencement of the regular school term in September. SELECTION OF RUNS. With regard to route bidding there shall be a preliminary bid prior to the start of the school year. Following the selection of a route in the preliminary bid, drivers must make themselves available to do a Dry Run on their selected route, after the bid and prior to the first active day of the route. Dry Runs will be paid at the charter rate. Drivers who fail to complete their Dry Run may be subject to progressive discipline. A second bid will be conducted on the third Saturday of October; if possible, with resulting route changes to be effective on the fourth Monday in October, however this bid shall take place no later than the second Saturday in November, with resulting route changes to be effective on the third Monday provided that the new driver makes them self available for training on the new route on the Saturday and Sunday after the bid at the Company's discretion. This training will be paid at charter rate. The routes available for bid in October will be limited to new routes, routes which have changed as indicated below, and routes of drivers who opt to bid. A bid will be held for "Summer Work". Other bids may be held with the mutual agreement of the parties to accommodate circumstances to include but not be limited to: newly created routes, hiring new drivers and vacated routes. The Company shall mail notifications to the drivers' last home address of record two (2) weeks prior to the annual bidding. These notifications shall include the dates on which the routes will be posted and their locations; the date, place and time of the annual bid; and bidding procedure. Route sheets will be posted for a minimum of three (3) working days before each bid. These sheets will contain the following information: the vehicle number and type, the time assigned to each route (flat rate); the name, location, and scheduled arrival and dismissal time of each school on the route sheet; the list of stops for each trip including arrival and departure times; and an indication of how many children are scheduled to board the vehicle at each stop and which days each stop is to be considered active. All the above information shall be complete and up to date on the day the bid is held. If new information is included on the route sheet which has been updated subsequent to the posting of the routes for viewing, this information will be highlighted to indicate the change and the flat rate cover sheet will also be distinctively labeled "CHANGE". SELECTION OF RUNS. 1. All runs shall be picked in order of seniority and all selections shall remain firm for the entire school year (number of days as described by student’s school year). Absent driver’s pick to be made by the Chief Xxxxxxx with assistance from the Xxxxxxx of Transportation. Despite the foregoing provision to select runs based on seniority, in the event two or more documented complaints are received indicating that a problem has developed on a Run regarding the transportation of children, the parties will attempt to resolve the issue by a mutually agreeable switch of drivers. If such agreement cannot be achieved, the Board reserves the right to re-assign a driver, without loss of remuneration. Runs will be posted for review at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to date for selecting runs. The date for selecting Runs is to be during or near the last week in August. Pick sheets will indicate the estimated mileage of all runs.
