Selection of an Alternate. If the duly selected department chair chooses not to work during the summer and/or winter intersession, the department will recommend an alternate using the department chair selection process. If the department chooses not to select an alternate, the division xxxx may select a professor to serve in that position. If an alternate is selected, they shall be paid the established department chair stipend and shall perform department chair duties and responsibilities.
