Selecting Official. The individual delegated authority by the Employer to make the decision regarding the selection for placement into a position.

Selecting Official. A NWS official with authority to select an applicant for assignment to a position, subject to final regulatory approval of the appropriate Personnel Officer.
Selecting Official. The supervisor/manager who has authority to select an employee for assignment to a position.
Selecting Official. Upon request, an employee may be provided with the following information by the selecting official: 1. reason the employee was not selected; and 2. in what areas, if any, he/she can improve to increase his/her chances for future promotion to the position in question.   • Building Official The Owner and Design Professional acknowledge that there is no state building official other than for Life Safety, Elevator, Building Accessibility, and Fire Safety rules, regulations, and codes. Local government officials (e.g. county and municipal) have no enforcement powers over state authorities except with regard to certain Georgia Environmental Protection Division permits. Road projects may be delivered pursuant to DOT’s General Permit GAR 100001 or GAR 100002, which are available for use by general contractors and are regulated directly by EPD. See 2009 Op. Att’’y Gen. 2009-6 The Design Professional, under the supervision of the Vice Chancellor for Facilities, acts as the Building Official for Projects owned by the Board of Regents.   • Contracting Officer The person authorized to administer and make written determinations for the Commonwealth with respect to the Prime Contract. Department – The Department of General Services of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Issuing Office – The department, board, commission or other agency of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania that issued the Procurement. Procurement – The Invitation for Bids, Request for Quotes, Request for Proposals or other solicitation and all associated final procurement documentation issued by the Commonwealth to obtain proposals from firms for award of the Prime Contract.

  • APPOINTING OFFICERS The Member may appoint officers or managers and define their function and authority per Section 00-00-000 of the Act.

  • School Official For the purposes of this DPA and pursuant to 34 CFR § 99.31(b), a School Official is a contractor that: (1) Performs an institutional service or function for which the agency or institution would otherwise use employees; (2) Is under the direct control of the agency or institution with respect to the use and maintenance of Student Data including Education Records; and (3) Is subject to 34 CFR § 99.33(a) governing the use and re- disclosure of Personally Identifiable Information from Education Records.

  • Hearing Officer The Hearing Officer shall be jointly selected by the parties within thirty (30) days of the execution of this contract and shall serve for a minimum of one (1) year from the date of selection. At that time the parties may choose to re-appoint the Hearing Officer or select a different Hearing Officer who will also serve for a minimum of one (1) year from date of selection.

  • School Official Designation Pursuant to Article I, Paragraph 1 of the DPA Standard Clauses, and in accordance with FERPA, ISSRA and SOPPA, in performing its obligations under the DPA, the Provider is acting as a school official with legitimate educational interest; is performing an institutional service or function for which the LEA would otherwise use its own employees; is under the direct control of the LEA with respect to the use and maintenance of Student Data; and is using Student Data only for an authorized purpose and in furtherance of such legitimate educational interest.

  • KEY OFFICIALS A. Key officials are essential to ensure maximum coordination and communication between the parties and the work being performed. They are:

  • Issuing Office ‌ The Commonwealth of Kentucky, Cabinet for Health and Family Services, Division of Procurement and Grant Oversight, is issuing this Contract on behalf of the Department for Community Based Services, Division of Protection and Permanency. The Cabinet’s designee is the only office authorized to change, modify, amend, alter, or clarify the specifications, terms and conditions of this Contract.

  • Official Personnel File Only one (1) official personnel file shall be kept for each employee at the appropriate personnel office. Records of previous discipline not found in the official personnel file cannot be used against an employee in any future disciplinary proceeding. Grievances shall not be kept in the employee’s official personnel file. Employees shall be informed as to where their personnel file is maintained.

  • Consider Operator as School Official The Parties agree that Operator is a “school official” under FERPA and has a legitimate educational interest in personally identifiable information from education records. For purposes of the Service Agreement and this DPA, Operator: (1) provides a service or function for which the LEA would otherwise use employees; (2) is under the direct control of the LEA with respect to the use and maintenance of education records; and
