Common use of Section H Clause in Contracts

Section H. Employees displaced by the elimination of jobs through layoffs, consolidation (combining the duties of two or more jobs), the installation of new equipment or machinery, the curtailment or replacement of existing facilities or for any other reason, shall be permitted to exercise their seniority rights to transfer to another job which they are qualified to fill in the Xxxxx County Highway Maintenance Department. Any employee transferred as a result of the application of this provision may be required to change his place of residence as a result of the transfer. If a change of residence is required by the County Board, the EMPLOYER agrees to pay moving expenses up to a maximum of $500.00, provided the employee produces receipts for all such expenses.
