Section 7.3.3. 16 The third shift shall consist of seven and one-half (7-1/2) hours for eight (8) hours 17 compensation, including a thirty (30) minute uninterrupted lunch period as near the middle of 18 the shift as is practicable, and also including a fifteen (15) minute first half and a fifteen (15) 19 minute second half rest period, both of which rest periods shall occur as near the middle of each 20 half shift as is practicable.

If there are no volunteers, 20 employees will be assigned by the Transportation Director. Saturday shift hours will be from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., including one-half (½) 23 hour for lunch, which will not be counted for pay purposes. Employees who work swing shift 24 on Tuesday through Friday and who also work the Saturday shift will continue to be paid the 25 swing shift differential pay for the Saturday consistent with their Tuesday through Friday shift.

Section 7.3.3. 26 If an employee chooses to bid for and is awarded two (2) work assignments that come within 27 one-half (½) hour of each other, the employee shall not be paid for the time between 28 assignments, except as provided for in Section 7.7. If the District assigns an employee two (2) 29 work assignments that come within one-half (½) hour of each other, the employee shall be paid 30 for the time between assignments.
