Section 7.3.2. 2 The second and third shifts shall consist of eight (8) hours, for eight (8) hours compensation, 3 including a thirty (30) minute uninterrupted lunch period as near the middle of the shift as is 4 practicable, and also including a ten (10) minute first half and a ten (10) minute second half rest 5 period, both of which rest periods shall occur as near the middle of each half shift as is 6 practicable.
Section 7.3.2. 28 Bus monitors will begin each school year with the same route they finished the previous year 29 and will continue on that route until the October re-bid. Bus monitors’ paid time will begin five 30 (5) minutes before they are due to board the bus.
Section 7.3.2. 23 All employees working four (4) hours or more shall receive a fifteen (15) minute break as near 24 the middle of each half shift as is practicable. 25
Section 7.3.2. 9 When an employee is assigned to work a schedule of four (4) hours or more and at least four 10 (4) hours of the shift are worked before 7:30 a.m. or after 3:30 p.m., the employee is entitled to 11 shift differential pay for those hours worked prior to 7:30 a.m. or after 3:30 p.m. This shift 12 differential is seventy-five cents ($0.75) per hour to those employees, excluding stadium 13 supervisors and alternate schedule employees (see Section 7.8.2).
Section 7.3.2. 34 Should a holiday occur while an employee is on paid vacation, the employee will receive 35 holiday pay at their regular rate of pay for that day and it will not be counted as vacation.
Section 7.3.2. 6 Each employee working six (6) or more hours, but less than eight (8), shall be provided two 15- 7 minute rest periods.
Section 7.3.2. 30 In the event an employee is assigned to a shift of less than the normal shift previously defined 31 in this Article, the employee shall be given a fifteen (15) minute rest period for each four (4) 32 hours of work.
Section 7.3.2. 10 Paraeducators will be given the opportunity to work twenty-eight (28) hours for the purpose of 11 meeting the paraeducator Fundamental Course of Study. Employees shall be compensated at 12 their normal hourly rate for all district-approved hours.
Section 7.3.2. 19 Longevity pay is considered as compensation for years of experience and may not be used as 20 leave. In the event of a catastrophic or life-threatening illness of an employee or their 21 immediate family member (spouse or children), which necessitates extended leave, all 22 longevity pay will be converted to paid leave days for the employee, upon approval of the 23 Superintendent.
Section 7.3.2. 1. 8 Rest breaks must be allowed no later than the end of the third (3rd) working hour.
