Section 6.8.1. 38 An employee who is authorized overtime by the Superintendent or designee and works in 39 excess of forty (40) compensated hours per week shall be compensated at the rate of one and 40 one-half (1-1/2) times the employee's base pay. Should both parties mutually agree that 41 compensatory time will be provided in lieu of compensation, such compensatory time will be 42 provided at the rate of one and one half (1-1/2) times the overtime worked. 43 44

Section 6.8.1. 24 On occasions, the District has the need to shorten employees’ scheduled hours of work. Most 25 commonly these occasions are caused by day to day weather situations or early release of 26 students. For scheduled hours of work that are lost for these reasons, the District will provide 27 the opportunity for employee(s) to make up the lost hours before the end of each individual 28 employee’s workyear in order to provide the impacted employees the opportunity to make up 29 the hours of work directed by the District. Should employees utilize paid leave and during the 30 same school year work beyond their scheduled time, such employees have the option to restore 31 the paid leave utilized. 33 Employee may use emergency leave deducted from sick leave or personal leave to cover the 34 late start work time if the late start was unplanned.
