Common use of Second Step Clause in Contracts

Second Step. If the grievance is not resolved at Step one within the timelines, the grievant may appeal to the Superintendent within fifteen (15) days of filing at step one. The appeal shall contain a copy of the original grievance and the step one response. Within five (5) days after filing the appeal, the grievant, the Association representative, the step one administrator, and the Superintendent shall meet to attempt to resolve the grievance. The Superintendent shall render his/her decision in writing within five (5) days of the last meeting of the parties and deliver it to all participants.
