Seat Belt Benefit. In the event an Insured Employee sustains an Injury which results in a Loss payable under Section C5.1 Specific Loss Accident Indemnity of this Employees Accidental Death or Dismemberment Insurance, the Insurer will pay an additional sum equal to ten per cent (10%) of the applicable amount payable under Section C5.1 Specific Loss Accident Indemnity, subject to a maximum of twenty five thousand dollars ($ 25,000), which maximum is in combination with the Seat Belt Benefit maximum provided under any other policy issued to the Policyholder by the Insurer, if at the time of the Accident, the Insured Employee was driving or riding in a Motorized Vehicle and wearing a properly fastened Seat Belt.

Seat Belt Benefit. In the event the insured person sustains an injury that results in a payment for accidental death and dismemberment benefits being made by us, we will increase your principal sum amount by 10%, up to the maximum amount shown in the policy schedule, if at the time of the accident the insured person was driving or riding in a vehicle and wearing a properly fastened seat belt. Due proof of seat belt use must be provided as part of the written proof of loss. This benefit cannot exceed the maximum amount shown in the policy schedule.

The additional amount payable under this Benefit is the lesser of: $25,000 or 10% of the Insured Person’s Principal Sum. Automobile - as used in this Benefit, means a self-propelled private passenger motor vehicle with four or more wheels which is of a type both designed and required to be licensed for use on the highways of any state or country. Automobile includes, but is not limited to, a sedan, station wagon, or jeep-type vehicle and a motor vehicle of the pickup, panel, van, camper or motor home type. Automobile does not include a mobile home or any motor vehicle which is used in mass or public transit. Supplemental Restraint System - as used in this Benefit, means an air bag which inflates for added protection to the head and chest areas.

Seat Belt Benefit. If you sustain a loss as a direct result of an accident, while driving or riding in a vehicle and wearing a properly fastened seat belt, this benefit will increase by the amount specified in the Schedule of Benefits. The driver of the vehicle must hold a current and valid driver's license and must not be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs, (unless such drugs are taken as prescribed by a physician), at the time of the accident. Proof of seat belt use must be provided. SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. (WEST VANCOUVER) Support Staff Basic Day Care Benefit If an Insured Person suffers loss of life in a covered accident while the policy in force as to such Insured Person, ACE INA Insurance will pay, in addition to all other benefits payable under the policy, a "Day Care Benefit" equal to the reasonable and necessary expenses actually incurred, subject to the maximum specified in the Schedule of Benefits, on behalf of any Dependent Child of the Insured Person who is enrolled in a legally licensed Day Care center on the date of the accident or who enrolls in a legally licensed Day Care center within days following the date of the accident. The "Day Care Benefit" will be paid each year for four consecutive years, but only upon receipt of satisfactory proof that the child enrolled in a legally licensed Day Care center.
Seat Belt Benefit. The Company will pay an additional 10% of the Insured Person’s death or Permanent Total Disablement benefit, up to the maximum amount as stated in the Table of Benefits, provided that the Insured Person was wearing a properly fastened, original, factory-installed seat belt while operating or travelling as a passenger in a Private Motor Vehicle when the Accident causing the death or Permanent Total Disablement occurs. Verification of the actual use of the seat belt at the time of the Accident must be a part of an official report of the accident or must be certified in writing by the investigating officer(s). crIME EXtENSIoN In the event of the Insured Person’s death or Permanent Total Disablement as a result of an Accident which is as a direct result of a Crime, the Company will pay an additional 5% of the Insured Person’s death or Permanent Total Disablement benefit up to the maximum stated in the Table of Benefits.
Seat Belt Benefit. In the event you sustain an accidental injury payable under this benefit, the amount of Principal Sum will be increased by if, at the time of the accident, you were: wearing a properly fastened seat belt; and driving or riding in a vehicle driven by a driver who was neither intoxicated nor under the influence of drugs, unless taken as prescribed by a physician, at the time of the accident. Intoxication and being under the influence of drugs is as defined by the local jurisdiction where the accident occurred.
