Seasonal Employee. Seasonal employee" means an employee who is appointed for no more than ten months during any 12 consecutive months but who is expected to return to work year after year.

Seasonal Employee. For the purpose of this Collective Bargaining Agreement, a “seasonal employee” shall mean and refer to someone employed to work for a given season for the purpose of mowing, collecting yard waste or other traditional summer duties, or to assist in snow removal. Seasonal personnel shall not be eligible for benefits provided through this Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Seasonal Employee. Seasonal Employees perform work for a period of time, generally not to exceed six (6) months in seasonal duration with an option to extend up to two (2) months upon notification to the union. Seasonal Employees perform work associated with the events of a particular season of the year and that work consistently reoccurs year after year. Seasonal employees will be utilized whenever the work load temporarily creates a requirement for additional help, or in the event of an emergency or unanticipated situation, or to relieve regular employees during absences.
Seasonal Employee a. Seasonal employee shall mean a regular employee whose appointment is created due to seasonal requirements for a period not exceeding ten (10) calendar months in duration. An employee’s appointment may be extended beyond ten (10) months with the written approval of the Union Standing Committee. Such approval shall not be unreasonably denied.
Seasonal Employee. An employee hired temporarily to supplement existing staff during the months of May through September. The parties may mutually agree to change or modify the identified months. If unable to mutually agree, the May to September time frame shall prevail. Seasonal employees become members of the bargaining unit after working one-sixth (1/6) time of a full-time employee or three hundred forty-seven (347) hours. Seasonal employees shall be covered by all articles of the contract except the following: Article 5, Probation, Seniority & Recall Procedures; Article 7, Holidays; Article 8, Vacations; Article 9, Leaves, except as required by law; Article 10, Insurance, except as required by law, and Article 15, Discipline/Discharge. Seasonal employees are covered by Article 16, Grievance Procedure, but not for the purpose of challenging the District's decision to terminate the employment of a Seasonal employee.
Seasonal Employee. Seasonal employees as defined herein shall be excluded from the bargaining unit covered by this Agreement. A seasonal employee shall be defined as an employee who is employed for a limited duration of up to 860 hours in a calendar year. The City may employ seasonal employees at any time of the year. However, a seasonal employee may only be employed for up to 860 hours in a calendar year. After working for 860 hours, a seasonal employee must have a break in service of at least ninety (90) days before they may be reemployed. Except for continuation overtime, permanent employees in the work unit will be offered overtime before seasonal employees. Seasonal workers will normally be assigned to common labor jobs and will not normally be up-graded to classifications covered by the contract except on an incidental basis as required by day-to-day work flow. Nothing in this Agreement will be construed to limit the City's right to hire additional personnel in emergencies beyond the City's control.
Seasonal Employee. The term "seasonal employee" shall mean a bargaining unit employee who is in a position which has been approved by the COUNTY Board of Commissioners; which is included in the adopted COUNTY budget; which is for work in excess of twenty (20) hours per week, but which is budgeted for less than six (6) months duration.

Seasonal Employee. An employee who works for a period of not more than one hundred twenty calendar days in any calendar year except for employees assigned to the Department of Parks and Recreation who are hired for a particular recreational program such as the golf course, skating, and beach programs who may exceed the one hundred twenty-day limit and work for the duration of the recreational program.
