Some key areas to address to meet this research aim include: How is the questionnaire completed? Who completes the questionnaire? The driver? Traffic Office Staff? Other? Where is the questionnaire completed? In the office? When is the questionnaire completed? Throughout the survey day? At the end of each survey day? At the end of the survey week? How long does it take to complete the questionnaire? How difficult is the questionnaire to complete? What information is captured via their own management information and scheduling systems? What software provider is used? Is the information required to complete the questionnaire captured via their own management information and scheduling systems? How much of the information requested is already collected for their own use? Which sections of the questionnaire are easy to complete? Which sections are harder? Is the questionnaire content clear? Is it clear which journeys should be recorded in the top half of the questionnaire (four or fewer stops)? Is it clear which journeys should be recorded in the lower half of the questionnaire (five or more stops)? Is the wording of any of the questions unclear? Are the guidance notes used? Are they clear? How could the guidance notes be improved? Would they look at the guidance notes if they were on the web and not sent with the questionnaire? Have they seen the additional guidance on the webpages? How could this webpage be improved? How easy would it be to complete the survey electronically? If there was an option to complete the questionnaire via a web page, would they do so?
