Scope of Participation. The parties acknowledge and agree that County and/or Agency bear responsibility for the Joint Projects, depending upon the location and ultimate ownership of the improvements involved in each case. The Agency Contribution to the Joint Projects is limited to the contribution of committed funds in the amount of $7,840,000, plus accrued interest, as set forth in this Agreement. Agency’s participation in contributing funds to Joint Projects does not create any obligation on the part of the Agency to participate in any additional funding beyond said amount of $7,840,000, plus accrued interest. Agency and County agree that Agency funds will be used for purposes consistent with the California Community Redevelopment Law (Health & Safety Code 33000, et seq.), including project design, acquisition, administration, planning, permits, environmental review, work done as a result of environmental review, legal fees, financing, rehabilitation, construction, inspection, or project management related to the Joint Projects.
