Common use of Scope and Purpose Clause in Contracts

Scope and Purpose. 1.01 The scope and purpose of this Agreement is to establish and maintain an orderly employment relationship between the University and its employees represented by the Union; to provide mechanisms for the prompt and equitable handling of employment related complaints and grievances; to promote cooperation and understanding between the University and its employees; and to jointly recognize the mutual value of continued dialogue in all matters relevant to working conditions, hours of work, wage scales and other employment related matters.
