School District Events. Bargaining unit members shall have the right of first refusal to provide security for all School Board functions/events/activities, to include Adult Education and Vocational Instructional sites where a law enforcement presence is necessary and/or any event at an MDCPS school site, or at an MDCPS facility (whether owned, leased by an outside entity for the purposes of hosting events and only after an employee’s work hours.) Procedures governing this provision shall be developed by the Chief of Police.
