School District Calendar. The School District calendar shall be a schedule of duty days established each year by the School District prior to May 1 for the succeeding school year. Upon timely request, the School District shall meet with the Exclusive Representative to prepare the calendar. The School District calendar shall be a part of the School District Policy and shall not be a part of this Agreement. A committee of the following membership shall be organized for the purposes of preparing the School District calendar for presentation to the school board for approval:

School District Calendar. The District will give bargaining unit employees the opportunity to give input with regard to the development of the school calendar. The Association will propose a calendar to the District by March 1st. If the District and the Association cannot agree on a calendar by April 15th, the District will guarantee the Association input on any calendar option. The input period will be 10 days if prior to June 1st and five (5) days if after June 1st.
School District Calendar. Following the agreed to recommendations of the District calendar committee, the Association will propose a multi-year calendar to the District by March 1 with proposed input/response received by March 15. In the event that two (2) or fewer schools are closed for whatever reason, employees at those schools shall report to a designated meeting place for daily assignment.

  • School Calendar The Dual Credit course schedule will be determined by the location of the course delivery, provided that the required contact hours and prerequisites are met. The instructional calendar for the high school portion of the School will be based on the School District calendar and comply with all related TEA regulations for school attendance. For assessments not mandated by the State, the College and School District will come to a mutual agreement on administration dates in order to appropriately manage disruptions of college courses and ensure contact hour requirements are met.

If the member remains medically unfit for duty such that the rescheduled time is not taken by December as aforesaid, the member shall be entitled to choose to either (1) receive in the first pay period of the following calendar year an equal to the salary he would normally receive in respect of the vacation time not taken or (2) carry over the vacation to the following year, to be scheduled as approved by the or his designate. In the event that the member chooses to carry over the vacation to the following year, the time must be taken prior to the end of the following calendar year. In the event that the carried-over is not taken prior to the end of the following calendar year, the member shall receive a payout at the salary rate applicable when the vacation time was earned. It is understood and agreed that regardless of seniority, no scheduling of any carried over vacation time will result in any member's scheduled vacation being cancelled or bumped. A member who is on suspension, either paid or unpaid, at the time of the commencement of his scheduled vacation, shall not be required to report in for the period of his scheduled vacation. A member who is on suspension, either paid or unpaid, and who has not scheduled his vacation for the year shall do so as soon as requested and, once such vacation time is approved, shall not be required to report in during the scheduled vacation time.

  • Compensation for Holidays Falling Within Vacation Schedule If a paid holiday falls on or is observed during an employee's vacation period, he/she shall be allowed an additional vacation day with pay at a time mutually agreed upon by the Employer and employee.

  • Trial Service Period 1. Except for those employees in an in-training appointment, all other employees with permanent status who are promoted, or who voluntarily accept a transfer or demotion into a job classification for which they have not previously attained permanent status, will serve a trial service period of six (6) consecutive months. The Employer may extend the trial service period to no more than twelve (12) consecutive months, provided the employee is given written, performance based reasons for the extension. The Employer agrees to notify the employee when it intends to extend the trial service period beyond six (6) months. The employee may choose to notify the union.
