Common use of School Day Clause in Contracts

School Day. A. Notwithstanding Section 7.4, the length of the Teacher work day shall be seven hours and thirty minutes at the secondary level and seven hours at the elementary level. The length of the student day shall be seven hours at the secondary level and six and a half hours at the elementary level. However, all Teachers shall have the same starting and ending time at the assigned building.

Teacher’s instructional day shall not exceed six (6) hours and thirty forty-five (45) minutes at the secondary level and seven hours at the elementary levelin length. The length of the student teacher's instructional day shall be seven hours include at the secondary level and six and a half hours at the elementary levelleast thirty (30) minutes of uninterrupted time for lunch. However, all Teachers shall have the same starting Starting and ending time at times shall be established by the assigned buildingadministration with staff input.

The length school day for any staff or group of staff shall not begin earlier than seven a.m. (7:00 a.m.) and end later than four p.m. (4:00 p.m.), Monday through Friday. The work hours will be consecutive. This time limitation does not alter the student day shall be seven hours at obligation of all teachers to perform professional responsibilities beyond the secondary level and six and a half hours at the elementary level. However, all Teachers shall have the same starting and ending time at the assigned buildingteacher work day.
