Common use of School Day Clause in Contracts

School Day. 1. It has been the policy of the School Committee not to stipulate the time teachers should arrive at school or at what time they should leave. It is agreed that teachers as professionals should be aware of their responsibility to be in their classrooms when their students arrive and their responsibility to be available to students for make-up work and special help when this is needed. The practice of handling this in a professional manner shall be continued.
