School Councils. Teachers elected to serve on school councils will receive compensatory time for their participation in after school council meetings. Compensatory time may be taken the day of and the day after a meeting. Should a meeting be scheduled on the day prior to the last day of the work week, the teacher may take the next regular workday for his/her compensatory time. Teachers on school councils who are entitled to compensatory time may leave ten (10) minutes after student dismissal time unless the teacher has a conference, scheduled meeting or bus duty, in which case the teacher may leave at the completion of the assigned duty.
