School Climate Surveys. The Board intends to develop surveys to assess how various stakeholders view schools and their leaders, and it agrees to consult with and consider Union recommendations with respect to the design and implementation of such surveys.

School Climate Surveys. The Association and District representatives shall jointly develop a school climate survey that will be administered annually. The results of the survey shall be submitted to SEA’s bargaining unit membership, administrators, and the School Board. The climate survey will include, but not be limited to, questions concerning how administrators and staff impact the climate at the school and what steps could be taken to improve it.
School Climate Surveys. In order to improve the performance of CTEA staff and students, the Director will administer a yearly school climate survey to measure the perceived experiences, attitudes, and opinions of students, staff and parents. These surveys will assess the perceptions of student motivation, the learning environment, instructor teaching methods and effectiveness, parent involvement, the effectiveness of the Director, and the quality of CTEA as a whole. By June 30, 2018, June 30, 2019, and June 30, 2020, the District will provide OCR for its review and approval a copy of the survey results and a description of actions it proposes to take in the following school year as a result of the survey results. By September 30, 2018, September 30, 2019, and September 30, 2020, the District will provide OCR documentation of the steps it has taken in response to the previous school year’s survey results.

  • School Closures If school must be canceled, the school year shall be extended and vacations and in-service days and holidays not required by Statute may be utilized to meet State and District curriculum requirements. The district will consult with the President of the Association (s) before revising the calendar as required. Such time will be made up without additional pay. Any student school days waived by OSPI due to emergency school closure shall also be work days waived for certificated staff. There shall be no loss of pay in such an instance.
