School Cancellation. A. All regular seniority employees will be paid for any day when school is canceled by an Act of God such a storms, snow, etc., which is not rescheduled.
School Cancellation. All regular seniority employees will be paid for any day when school is canceled by an Emergency School Closing, such as storms, etc. This provision will result in no loss of pay nor increase in pay as a result of an Emergency School Closing day that must be rescheduled.
School Cancellation. A. In the event school is canceled due to inclement weather or conditions not within the control of the district, the following procedures will apply:
School Cancellation. In case of school cancellation, school-year (10-month) employees will not be expected to report for work unless they are so directed by their Principal or immediate supervisor. In the case of extreme weather conditions, 12-month employees will be expected to report for work unless they are so directed not to report by their Principal/designee or for the employees at Central Office their immediate supervisor.
School Cancellation. 1. For this article, Year Round Employees (Fleet Mechanic, Skilled Maintenance, Year Round Custodian/Bus Driver, Secretaries, and Head Xxxx) will report at their regular time and work their normal shift. The Superintendent, at his/her discretion, may alter the schedule of the day and the employees will suffer no loss of wages for that day.
School Cancellation. 1. Days when school is canceled for students because of conditions beyond the control of the District, such as storms, fires, epidemics or health conditions, paraprofessionals will not be required to work and shall suffer no loss of pay. No paraprofessional will be compensated for make-up days worked that were previously compensated. It is understood, however, that employees will be paid for any rescheduled days beyond the maximum allowed to be excused by the State.
School Cancellation. Fiftytwo (52) week employees are expected to report for work on the days school is canceled by the Superintendent. Any employee not reporting for work by 10:00 a.m. will not be paid for that day. The employee may take such days as vacation if he/she has vacation time earned. If the employee is sent home during the day by the Superintendent of Schools because of unusual conditions, he/she will be paid in full for that day. Barring emergencies, schoolyear employees do not need to report on these days; they will, instead work on the days extended in June to make up for the days; salaries will not be changed in any way for these days. School Cancellation. The school office and maintenance staff with a two hundred twenty-five (225) workday calendar or more shall report to work and if unable may use District closure leave before using personal leave time. One school maintenance employee may be designated by the District as emergency crew and will report to work as is safely possible and be paid as emergency crew. Employees with less than a two hundred twenty-five (225) workday calendar shall not report to work and may use District closure leave before using personal leave. If the District elects to make up school closure day(s), employees with less than a two hundred twenty-five (225) workday calendar shall report to work.
School Cancellation. A. If school is dismissed early because of inclement weather, all employees will complete their work schedule unless the Superintendent determines weather conditions warrant dismissal of staff.
School Cancellation. If the appropriate announcement for a school closing is made less than thirty (30) minutes before an employee's report and sign-in time, the employee will be paid two (2) hours of their base rate of pay if they report to the terminal by their normally scheduled report time. If the appropriate announcement for a school closing is made thirty minutes or more before an employee's scheduled report time, no payment will be made as long as the employee was properly notified. This two (2) hour pay provision applies only to the cancellation of regularly scheduled bus routes during the school year.
