Schematic design documentation. Designer shall meet regularly and as necessary with agents of the Awarding Authority and the User Agency, shall update and refine items submitted previously during the Study/Schematic Design Phase, shall provide a schematic design in compliance with M.G.L. c. 7C , ss.59 and 60 and shall provide the following schematic design level documentation which shall include and incorporate Awarding Authority and User Agency comments:
Schematic design documentation. Designer shall meet regularly and as necessary with agents of the Awarding Authority, shall update and refine items submitted previously during the Study/Schematic Design Phase, shall provide a schematic design in compliance with M.G.L. c. 7C , ss.59 and 60 and shall provide the following schematic design level documentation which shall include and incorporate Awarding Authority and User Agency comments: drawings, concept sketches, three dimensional representations, and specifications; an analysis of the design’s compliance with building code; an analysis of the design's compliance with Massachusetts Architectural Access Board requirements and how it meets the User Agency’s ADA Title II obligations; and at least two Construction Cost Estimates for the design in Uniformat II Level 2 format with aggregated unit rates and quantities supporting each item and verified as accurate and complete by the cost estimator and/or Owner's Project Manager , if any, employed by the Awarding Authority.
Schematic design documentation. 1. After the project parameters has been discussed, the project enters the Schematic Design Phase. The Architect starts with rough diagram of the interrelationships of the various spaces in the building. Project design at this level is for the establishment of a design concept only. Once this preliminary program is reviewed and approved, it shall become the Project Program, and shall become the guide for design.

  • Schematic Design Documents In accordance with the approved Preliminary Design and Construction Schedule and based upon approval of and comments made by the Owner regarding the Concept Design Studies, the Design Professional shall prepare and submit to the Owner Schematic Design Documents, including drawings and outline specifications. These documents shall represent a further development of the approved design concept, providing additional detail and specificity regarding the intended design solution. Typically, all such documents shall be drawn to scale, indicating materials and assemblies, as appropriate, to convey the design intent and to illustrate the Project’s basic elements, scale and relationship to the Site. All major pieces of furniture and equipment to be fixed or supplied by the CM/GC shall be illustrated to scale. (See ASTM Standard Practice E 1804-02, August 2007, Sections 6.3, 8.2 and 8.3 for guidance on information which is generally developed in Schematic Design.)
