Scheduling Vacations. 9.17.4.1 Vacations must be approved in advance by the supervisor. The supervisor shall respond as quickly as possible to a written vacation request. If a response is not provided within ten (10) working days of the stamped receipt, the request shall be granted. If the vacation requests of two (2) or more employees in the same operating unit conflict, the decision will be made by the supervisor in accordance with what is determined to be in the best interests of the District and students. All other things being equal, the employee with greater seniority in class will be given preference.
