Scheduling Options. Where approval to implement an alternative work week option has been granted, the scheduling conditions of the alternative workweek shall be mutually agreed upon prior to implementation. Four Day Work Week The basic hour of work per day shall be nine (9) hours. The basic hours of work per week shall be 36 hours on the basis of a four- (4) day week. Five, Four (5,4) Work Week The basic hours of work per day shall be eight (8) hours. The basic hours of work per week will be averaged over a two-week pay period on the basis of nine (9) days totaling 72 hours (based on a two week schedule comprising five (5) days in one of the weeks and four (4) days in the other).
Scheduling Options. Whenever practical, management shall accommodate employee requests for cyclic (or set) schedules. Management shall grant requests by bargaining unit seniority.
Scheduling Options. A. Employee requests for alternative schedules will be evaluated based on the business needs of the organization, and will be considered by work unit, by NLACRC seniority, with consideration for special skills. Hours of work and individual schedules will continue to be set by the Employer.
Scheduling Options. Scheduling options currently in the contract should be made available to all departments. However, in departments that have 7/70 scheduling as of October, 2005, the majority of positions will be full-time, non-split positions. Individual departments will utilize the LMP process to create scheduling options that work best for patient and staff needs. These options will be reviewed both by Management and Union. Inpatient staffing processes should involve a consideration of all staffing options and should consider such staffing options in posting vacant positions.

Scheduling Options. Each unit shall select the scheduling options that will be used for the unit according to existing approved guidelines. Modifications to existing guidelines must be approved by the Nursing Director for the unit and will be discussed at the monthly Labor Management as soon as practicable after they are approved. The scheduling options shall include one or more of the following options • Current practice as of the date of this agreement; • Self-scheduling; • Cyclic or pattern scheduling by bargaining unit seniority; • Working every third weekend by bargaining unit seniority.
Scheduling Options. To supplement the eight (8) hours of pay they receive on a holiday, employees who normally work ten (10) hour shifts and who observe a holiday and receive eight (8) hours of compensation for the holiday shall be permitted, in the employee’s discretion and with the approval of the Chief or his or her designee, to: (1) use two (2) hours of vacation or compensatory time; (2) adjust their schedule to work an additional two (2) hours; or (3) elect to take the two (2) hours as unpaid time.
